First Visit

Your First Visit to OWTAD Orthodontics

Welcome — We’re So Glad You’re Here

We can’t wait to meet you! Your first visit to OWTAD Orthodontics is designed to be comfortable, informative, and stress-free. Our goal is to help you fully understand your oral health and orthodontic needs, so you can make confident, informed decisions about your smile.

Here’s what you can expect during your first appointment:

What to Expect at Your First Visit

1. Warm Welcome

You’ll be greeted by our friendly front desk team and guided through any remaining paperwork. To save time, we encourage completing your forms online before your visit whenever possible.

2. Comprehensive Orthodontic Evaluation

Dr. Owtad will perform a thorough orthodontic examination, which may include:

  • Complimentary clinical photos
  • Panoramic X-rays
  • A 3D digital scan of your teeth

These tools help us gain a complete understanding of your bite, alignment, and overall oral health.

3. Personalized Consultation

After your exam, Dr. Owtad will review his findings with you and discuss whether orthodontic treatment is recommended. Together, you’ll explore treatment options such as:

  • Braces
  • Aligners (invisalign & Spark)
  • Comprehensive or premium treatment plans

Our goal is to help you understand what’s possible and what makes the most sense for you.

4. Questions Welcome

We encourage questions! This is your time to ask about:

  • Treatment timelines
  • Cost and payment options
  • What to expect throughout treatment

We want you to feel informed, confident, and comfortable every step of the way.

5. Financial & Scheduling Support

Our experienced treatment coordinator will review:

  • Financing options
  • Insurance benefits
  • Flexible payment plans
  • Scheduling availability

Same-Day Starts Available!
In many cases, patients can begin treatment the very same day as their consultation — saving time and an extra visit.

6. No Obligation — Just Information

Your first consultation is complimentary and comes with no obligation. Our priority is education — helping you understand your options so you can decide what’s best for your smile and your lifestyle.

7. How Long Will It Take?

Plan for approximately one hour for your first visit, which includes records, consultation, and discussion.

8. What to Bring

To help your visit go smoothly, please bring:

  • Your insurance information (if applicable)
  • The name of your general dentist
  • Any referral forms or previous X-rays (if available — not required)

Completing patient forms online before your visit can also help save time.

9. A Comfortable Experience for Kids

We love seeing kids in our office! Our team goes the extra mile to make sure every child feels comfortable, supported, and excited about their visit.
